We want sharing music to feel good and safe. This policy explains what information we collect through community submissions and how we use it.

What you submit

If you send us a recommendation, we collect the category, title, optional link and location, your description, your name, and your email address. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated spam; Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address and browser signals as part of that check. We do not ask you to upload audio or image files.

How we use it

We use your submission and email to review it, contact you about it if needed, and—only if we approve it—publish the agreed name, title, description, optional location, and link as a community feature. Your email address is never shown publicly and is not sold or used for advertising.

Storage and retention

Submissions are stored in Cloudflare D1. Pending entries are deleted within 13 months of submission. We remove email addresses from approved entries within 13 months of review, and delete rejected or removed submissions within 13 months of the decision, unless we need to retain information to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. Published community features may remain on the site until you ask us to remove or correct them.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your submission and contact details by emailing hello@thisismusic.com.au. We use essential site functionality only; this prototype does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may process standard request data when delivering and protecting the site.

Where this applies

This Is Music is based in Australia and welcomes people everywhere. We aim to handle personal information responsibly and in line with applicable privacy requirements. Before launch, this policy should be reviewed against the operating entity, actual Cloudflare account configuration, and applicable privacy law.
